After a busy week in Ireland at Medical Technology Ireland, the Active-PCB Solutions team will be heading to Excel London for Microelectronics UK 2026 on 29–30 September.
You’ll find us on Stand B4.
Microelectronics UK brings together organisations from across the semiconductor, photonics and embedded systems sectors, covering everything from research and development through to manufacturing, testing and deployment.
For Active-PCB Solutions, that makes it a particularly interesting event because we sit firmly within the manufacturing side of that journey.
Turning Electronic Technology Into Reliable Products
Microelectronics covers a huge range of technologies, from the semiconductors and embedded systems at the heart of a product to the wider electronics needed to make that product function.
But however innovative the underlying technology is, at some point it has to be turned into something that can be manufactured consistently, tested properly and delivered reliably.
That is where Active-PCB Solutions comes in.
From our Reading facility, we manufacture complex PCB assemblies for customers working across aerospace, defence, medical, communications and other high-reliability sectors. Our role extends beyond simply placing components onto a board, with manufacturing, testing, inspection, supply chain support and specialist processes brought together around the requirements of each programme.
More Than PCB Assembly
Modern electronics manufacturing can involve a long list of technical and practical challenges.
Assemblies may include fine-pitch devices and complex component technologies. Products may require detailed inspection, specialist testing, environmental protection or further system integration. At the same time, manufacturers need to consider component availability, traceability, quality and production resilience.
Keeping many of those processes within our own operation gives us greater control over quality, lead times and production flow.
Our in-house capabilities include SMT and through-hole assembly, 3D AOI, X-ray inspection, flying probe and functional test, conformal coating, complex rework and system assembly.
For customers, however, the important part is not simply the individual processes. It is having a manufacturing partner that can bring them together and manage the complexity around the product.

Supporting The Wider Electronics Supply Chain
Microelectronics UK is expected to bring together more than 4,000 attendees, 175 exhibitors and 120 speakers, with dedicated content covering semiconductors, photonics, embedded systems, startups and emerging technologies – which creates an opportunity for us to meet organisations working at different points within the electronics supply chain.
Some may be developing new technologies or products. Others may already be in production and looking for additional manufacturing capacity, specialist processes or a more resilient UK supply chain.
Active-PCB Solutions supports customers from early manufacturing introduction through to scheduled mid-volume production, while our procurement and account management teams provide ongoing support around component sourcing, availability, programme requirements and production planning.
It is that combination of technical manufacturing capability and programme support that we will be talking about at Microelectronics UK.
